Use the kit when the honest answer is “we do not know yet”.
Software cannot fill in outcomes nobody records. The kit creates a small dependable trail from marketing source to enquiry, reply, quote and booked work. It is a bridge to a better decision, not a promise of more revenue.
What the founding kit contains
- Offline local-only browser tracker with metrics, action queue and decision guards
- Formula-free Google Sheets import workbook with seven maintained tabs and validations
- Google Sheets-ready CSV
- Missed-call and callback fields
- Enquiry quality, ownership, outcome and booked-value trail
- Weekly Keep, Fix, Stop review
- Software-readiness map with keep-measuring and no-software states
- Nine-page quick-start guide
- Trades and home-services worked examples
This page currently provides the complete method. The packaged tracker is not offered for sale or download here. No checkout, account or recurring charge is active.
The five columns to start on day 1
| Column | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Google, Facebook, directory, referral or unknown | Shows which routes deserve a closer look. |
| Quality | Worthwhile, unsuitable or unclear | Separates activity from a genuine opportunity. |
| Owner | The person responsible for the next action | Stops an enquiry sitting between people. |
| Outcome | Booked, lost, pending or unsuitable | Keeps the end result attached to the start. |
| Value | Booked value when known | Helps compare useful work, not only lead counts. |
From day 1 to day 30
- Day 1Agree the five fields, who enters them and what each outcome means.
- Days 2-7Record every new call, form and message. Do not redesign the process yet.
- Day 7Check missing sources, slow replies and records with no owner.
- Days 8-14Make one free operating fix, such as a callback owner or shorter form.
- Day 14Review whether the trail is being kept reliably. Simplify it if staff avoid it.
- Days 15-29Keep recording. Mark booked, lost and unsuitable outcomes.
- Day 30Choose Keep, Fix or Stop for each marketing source and decide whether a named software job has appeared.
What the evidence may point to
WhatConverts
Only when several calls and forms need source, quality and value joined together.
Jotform or involve.me
Jotform for a capable ordinary form; involve.me for genuine branching, scoring or routing.
Unbounce
Only when a real campaign, clear offer and enough traffic support a test.
Pipedrive or HubSpot
Pipedrive for one pipeline; HubSpot for a wider connected-team requirement.
ActiveCampaign
Only after a manual follow-up sequence works and recurring lead volume justifies automation.
Tidio
Only when useful traffic exists and somebody can own the chat response.
A plumber thinks Google Ads is wasting money
The first week shows six calls from ads, but two went unanswered and three records have no final outcome. The evidence does not yet justify cutting the ads or buying attribution software. The first action is a callback owner and a booked-or-lost update. After 30 days, persistent source gaps across several campaigns may support WhatConverts. If the manual trail works, the spreadsheet remains enough.
Price test, not a market fact
The proposed founding-edition price is £19. This is a demand-test price, not evidence of market value. A later £29 standard-edition test is only justified if real users complete the process, find a specific problem and ask for continued access.
Price basis: observed 1 September 2026 in the approved product concept as a proposed £19 demand-test price. Not checkout verified. No sale, completion result or testimonial exists. There is no subscription because the current method does not provide fresh recurring monitoring.
